DESCRIPTION:Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC) is celebrating 21 years of creativity and community partnership through the annual Public Works Art Exhibition\, presented in collaboration with the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. The free exhibition showcases artwork from local artists and highlights the connection between art\, community\, and public service. An Opening Night reception will be held Friday\, May 29\, 2026\, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\, offering the public a chance to meet artists and experience the opening celebration. The exhibition will be on display through July 5\, 2026\, at the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County\, located at 301 Hay Street. Admission is free and open to the public.  "PWC is proud to partner with the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County for the 21st year hosting the Public Works Art Exhibition\," said Tyler C. Patton\, Chief Communications & Community Relations Officer for PWC. "This event reflects what makes this community special\, the creativity and pride in where we live. This exhibition highlights the powerful connection between public service and creative expression."  At the heart of the Public Works Art Exhibition is community participation. Artists are encouraged to submit artwork through the Arts Council website. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece through the People's Choice Award using a virtual voting platform.
